First Day of Spring.

Time again for the Monday morning start to the working week. This weekend was in one way restful, but in another way knackering. I recorded my podcast as usual on Friday night, actually it's more like early Saturday morning by the time I actually post the thing up. This means that I don't end up in bed until about 3-4am. As is usual for me at the moment though, no matter what time I go to bed, I'm always up around 10am at the weekend.

The weekends are pretty much family time. We took the babies out to the supermarket and they had their first ride in a special shopping cart, that looks like a truck. I should relly take some pictures of it next time. They are such a pleasure to be out in public with. Yes Sarah, does have a bit of a habit at the moment, she seems to enjoy biting Lucy. This means, that as to be expected, Lucy is once bitten, twice shy. Whenever she sees Sarah's teeth baring down on her, she screams her head off, which is a bit embarassing at the moment, but at least it doesn't happen very often. Everywhere we go, Sarah and Luch are the centre of attention, but they are so used to it now, that it doesn't phase them.

I normally get up early on Sunday morning to be with the babies, but this weekend was another F! race, which was televised at 2am, so Sherri said it was OK to stay up to watch it, and she'd wake up with the babies. Ah don't you just love my wife, cos I do. It was a struggle to keep my eyes open at some stages of the race. I'm fine if I'm in front of a computer, but the TV does have that sleep inducing effect sometimes, especially at 3 in the morning. Anyway I managed to stay pretty much awake for the whole race and ended up in bed at just after 4am. I was up again at about 10:15am and just played with the babies most of the day. God they are so funny sometimes. The way they interact with each other and us is just so priceless.

Mandi and Alanna are managing to keep themselves busy. Alanna is always off with friends and has her first day back at school today, after the March break. Mandi sees Jason as much as she can and spends the rest of the time listening to Fall Out Boy and Panic at the Disco, oh well, she doesn't know any better LOL

Anway time for me to sign off. There's more photos of the babies on the website, just click on the Photo Album link. Speak to you all soon.

If by Rudyard Kipling

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!

March Already!

A new weekend is upon us and it started early for Lucy and Sarah. The poor things didn;t get much sleep today, so when Sherri and I got home, they were pretty cranky. Anyway by 6:30pm they were almost besides themselves, actually more Lucy than Sarah, but it we though it best to put them to bed and let them have an early night. Anyway I think we were right as they haven't made a sound since we put them upstairs. Ah, bless their little cotton socks.

So another Friday means another podcast. Yes every Friday night, I have my time in front of the computer downstairs and crank out another edition of my podcast. I know I've mentioned podcasts a few times, so if you still haven't caught the podcast bug, check out my site, for hints, tips and reviews of some of the best podcasts to listen to. The site is called Podcast Launchpad and the address to acces it in your favorite browser is http://www.podcastlaunchpad.com

With my birthday on Sunday, this is going to be the first birthday in years that I won;t have woken in my own bed. Yes the time has come for me to spend another night in hospital to have them monitor my sleep apnea. I know some of it is the extra weight I'm carrying, but I feel it's got better in the last few months. I've managed to shed quite a few pounds since the last test, mainly due to the fact I haven;t had any beers at home. This is always a good thing and something I like to do a couple of times a year. The big downsides are that I won;t be in my comfy bed on Sunday morning and I will probably miss the third period of the Senators vs Toronto came on Saturday night. Ah well, what can you do.

Well my writing is coming on leaps and bounds. I've got something exciting, hopefully in the offing, which I hope to be able to announce soon and my review sites are coming on a treat. Another issue (#2) of the magazine Podcast User Magazine (http://www.podcastusermagazine.com), for which I am one of the co-founders, was released on Wednesday.

Anyway as you can tell, I'm busy and loving it. Maybe I'll end up starting my book writing again. It's only been 18 years since I rewrote the first chapter of 1 LOL
